Can't you hear that mad ticking?
An unbroken clock,
That just won't stop counting,
This final hour upon me.
Louder and louder,
Until I can't breath,
I can't help wondering,
What happens when it dings.
Optimistic, maybe it's release,
Then again,
What surprises last eternity?
Maybe it's an end we never see.
A sailor once above the waves,
Now I'm begging Sir Davey,
To my brethren searching,
May they find my body.
Someone must know I tried,
I took that brave leap,
Diving towards the sky,
Before I lost to gravity,
All this wasted thinking,
Filling my pockets with dreams,
Never knowing their weight,
Until I'm cast into the sea.
